I'd really appreciate some light on this. I found them so bad I put back the cheap (but quite excellent) Yamaha originals. I'm mystified because most writers seem to like the V7V8S2 series. Was there perhaps an RX750 with a V7/V8/S2 option and one with an economy, -sound p/u option? Perhaps these came from quite some other guitar, but the s/c is certainly alnico. These pickups are white, with gold polepieces on the adjustable coil on the buckers and no model numberĪnybody have any idea what I have here, what was fitted as standard to the RX750 with this description? I downloaded an RX750 wiring diagram from Ibanez's website and it certainly showed these pickups. I'm wondering if perhaps these are not in fact V7, V8 and S2? In shops I've seen such pickups on Ibanez guitars printed on the pickup face with But the humbuckers were the worst shock - hard and, compared to the cheap ceramic in the Pacīridge, quite weak, with little harmonic depth. Supposed to be a vintage (ie low) output pickup. The s/c was very thin - fair enough on what Ibanez say is I was sorely disappointed by the dull, flat unresponsive tone of these pickups.

I wanted to have the possibility of having a thicker jazz sound by having a neck humbucker (the Pac has an HSS configuration) plus coil tapping to give three single coils and in-between sounds. I bought what the guy said were an Ibanez V7, V8 and S2 taken, he said from an Ibanez RX750 to put in my Yamaha Pacifica 112.
#Ibanez ex 1500 serial number#
I own a blue Ibanez EX series (i think so) wich serial number is : K854789 made in Japan. If its not expensive, I would definitely pick that guitar up. I got it around '92 or '93, when they were discontinuing the series. This guitar sounded great and felt great, I was thouroughly impressed.

It had the Edge trem system(double-locking), two humbuckers and a single coil(the pickups sounded great until I damaged the neck pickup and had to have it replaced. I believe it was an EX2700 deluxe, if I remember correctly. It was stolen out ofĪnyways, it was an awesome guitar. I once had an EX series guitar with gold hardware and a trans flame finish. i own a 93 ex370, and after a few minor mods, it's one of my favorite guitars (and i have a great sentimental attachment to it, it was my first really cool instrument). regarding ex/rx guitars, if you like the rx, you WILL love the ex. it's a very solid, and affordable guitar when it's new, if this particular piece is in good shape it's probably a steal. Mrogers, my honest opinion is that the guitar in the shop is an ex3700, probably from 92-93. It has gold coloured hardware (bridge, machine heads etc)and a translucent flame finish. The gutar in the 2nd hand shop doesn't have a model number as far as I can see. Thanks for responding to my query Mrs Wolftone, sorry about the delay. I own a korean made ex series guitar and would like to know more about it could you send me some info Let me know the model number-or give me a description-and we'll go from there. I do have a lot of info on that series, though.

I haven't seen many others to know if the workmanship was consistent or not.

I am also interested in EX series guitars as i've seen one in a 2nd hand shop and want to know if it's worth what they're asking. I imagine the RX series were "budget" guitars, but they seem to be of higher quality than current equivalents. I have an RX 650 (made in Korea)and I would be interested to know a little about them, i.e materials, workmanship, and what people think of them. I've been looking all over the net for info on RX and EX series guitars. Ibanez Collectors World: RX and EX series guitarsĬool Contemporary Electrics (1980s and Later) »
